4-H Trinidad & Tobago Inducts Over 700 New Members at 2025 Ceremonies
November 2025 marked an inspiring milestone for the 4-H Trinidad and Tobago movement, as more than 700 young people from primary and secondary schools across the nation were officially welcomed into the 4-H Trinidad and Tobago family.

On November 21st, over 600 4-Hers representing all eight counties in Trinidad gathered at the Divali Nagar site for an uplifting Induction Ceremony defined by unity, pride, and a shared sense of purpose. Earlier in the month, on November 6th, the Tobago arm of 4-H hosted its own meaningful ceremony at Shaw Park, Scarborough, where more than 100 new members pledged their commitment to growth, leadership, and service. The enthusiastic turnout in Tobago underscored the significance and deep appreciation of the 4-H movement in the lives of our nation’s children.
Together, these ceremonies demonstrated the continued expansion and impact of 4-H across both islands—shaping confident, capable, and caring young citizens who are ready to grow, create, and lead in their schools, communities, and beyond.
A Day Marked by Resilience and True 4-H Spirit
Despite the year’s many challenges, the Trinidad ceremony stood as a testament to diligence, resilience, and the power of community. The sacred Divali Nagar site was filled with excitement as 4-Hers, Voluntary Leaders, parents, and well-wishers came together to celebrate leadership and service.
Guiding the programme with grace was Ms. Meguella Simon, who generously volunteered as Master of Ceremonies. After an opening prayer, the 4-H Executive Team, led by Vice President Mr. Marvin Clarke, took charge with confidence and dedication. While the presence of some stakeholders was missed, the event continued with strength and warm camaraderie—proof that the 4-H family can always rise to the occasion.
Volunteers and leaders worked hand in hand throughout the day, from arranging furniture to supporting the smooth flow of the programme. Their teamwork reflected the heart of 4-H: service, responsibility, and unity.
Honouring the Pillars of the Movement
The ceremonies also recognized the commitment of Voluntary Leaders across Trinidad and Tobago, whose selfless contributions ensure that the next generation experiences growth, character development, and a connection to the world around them. Parents and supporters were also acknowledged for their ongoing encouragement, guidance, and unwavering belief in the 4-H mission.
New Members Ready to Lead and Shine
With their induction complete and their 4-H pins proudly worn, the new members across both islands have returned to their schools and clubs inspired and eager to continue their journey. Their pledge “to make the best better” resonated throughout both ceremonies, signaling a bright future powered by youth leadership.
Exciting activities await all 4-Hers in the months ahead, including:
-
School Garden Competition
-
Root Crop Production Project
-
4-H Talent Concert
-
Registration for the rescheduled 4-HTT 5K, scheduled for late January 2026, is open to both 4-H members and the general public as a fun, healthy, community-building event.
This diverse lineup of activities showcases the multifaceted talents of 4-Hers—they can grow, create, and perform.
